    Join cardio-obstetric experts for a quarterly case review designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in diagnosing and managing complex cardio-obstetric patients. This interactive Socratic discussion, led by MFM and cardiology fellows, features a unique case followed by expert-led questioning, analysis, and audience participation.

    The next session, presented by the Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine, will take place on July 9, 2025, at 4 PM ET, and will focus on Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD).

    This updated course addresses the risk factors and clinical presentation of cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy (CSEP), describes how to correctly diagnose CSEP, and presents the current treatment modalities that are used to manage these high-risk pregnancies.

    This course is based on SMFM Consult Series #63: Cesarean Scar Ectopic Pregnancy.  

    This course addresses the risk factors and clinical presentation of CSEP, describes how to correctly diagnose CSEP, and presents the current treatment modalities that are used to manage these high-risk pregnancies. After completing the course, the learner should be able to:

    1. Describe the clinical presentation of a CSEP.
    2. Identify and describe the optimal strategy for diagnosis of CSEP.
    3. List 6 ultrasonographic criteria for diagnosis of a CSEP.
    4. Explain why expectant management is not recommended for CSEP.
    5. List the medical and surgical modalities that are currently recommended to treat  CSEP and describe the risks and benefits of each.
    6. Discuss how a CSEP may impact a future pregnancy.
