Description
Tune in as Dr. Hoppe presents MFM Fellow Lecture: Opportunities for Improving Hypertension in Pregnancy Care: Aspirin and Remote Patient Monitoring. This presentation will review current evidence and best practices for optimizing hypertension care during pregnancy, with a focus on aspirin use for preeclampsia prevention, risk stratification strategies, and the integration of remote patient monitoring (RPM) into clinical workflows. Practical implementation approaches and team‑based care strategies will also be discussed to support clinicians in improving maternal cardiovascular outcomes.
Live on February 4, 2026. The recording will be available after the live event.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Review the evidence and safety profile of aspirin for preeclampsia prevention in pregnancy and describe current clinical recommendations.
- Identify key maternal risk factors for hypertension in pregnancy and apply risk stratification frameworks to clinical scenarios.
- Evaluate the evidence supporting remote patient monitoring for hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and outline how to incorporate RPM into practice.
- Provide resources to aid in developing at least one implementation strategy to increase appropriate aspirin use for preeclampsia prevention within their clinical setting.
- Describe team based care models and apply at least one collaborative approach to improve hypertension management during pregnancy.
