Upon completion of the components in this module, the learner will be able to:

  1. Discuss the physiologic changes of pregnancy that affect the respiratory system.
  2. Identify the most common causes of respiratory distress in pregnancy.
  3. Provide appropriate guidance to ICU staff for caring for a pregnant patient requiring mechanical ventilation.
  4. Recognize impending respiratory failure.

Completion of all components within a module and a score of 75% or greater on the post-test quiz are necessary for the attainment of 1.5 CME credits.

This module starts on January 15, 2024, and expires on January 15, 2025.
