- Describe indications for venovenous (VV) and venoarterial (VA) extracorporeal membrane oxygenation ECMO relevant to the obstetric population.
- Outline components of VV-ECMO emphasizing utility in acute respiratory distress syndrome.
- Review considerations for VA-ECMO in the setting of cardiac failure and cardiac arrest.
- Solidify approach to addressing clinical concerns for the obstetric patient with possible ECMO needs.
