Upon completion of the components in this module, the learner will be able to:

  1. Recognize the diagnosis of hypertensive emergency.
  2. Assess for underlying etiologies and the associated with therapies for each scenario.
  3. Apply appropriate interventions for this situation.
  4. Assess the response to interventions, along with subsequent measures.
  5. Educate colleagues and teammates regarding this situation.

Completion of all components within a module and a score of 75% or greater on the post-test quiz are necessary for the attainment of 1.5 CME credits.

This module starts on January 15, 2024, and expires on January 15, 2025.
